Securing a Standalone Night Club
Situated in South Vancouver, The Wild Coyote is an established nightclub, located far from Vancouver’s downtown entertainment district. As such, it is less visible to law enforcement, who don’t have the resources and personnel to maintain a dedicated presence, as they do in the entertainment district. Nonetheless, management was determined to make their guests’ experience safe and enjoyable.
Implementing TreoScope’s EnterSafe System
After focusing on security cameras, prominent signage, and diligent security training for staff, The Wild Coyote was still enduring security challenges typical for a nighclub of their size and situation.
As a standalone venue outside the entertainment district, The Wild Coyote was attracting patrons who were barred from venues within the entertainment district. After installing EnterSafe, though, door personnel are able to see Alerts posted by other venues, making them aware of potential troublemakers, to whom they can then refuse access, or whom they can watch more carefully inside the venue.
The Wild Coyote has chosen to implement 100% of EnterSafe’s features: Everyone who enters the premises—including the owner—must swipe their ID to gain entry.
The Results
The Wild Coyote has enjoyed a significant, positive impact on deterrence: They report close to an 80% reduction in reported violence. In addition, they have been able to provide evidence of effective diligence at the entrypoint, thereby avoiding fines for allowing access to underage patrons. And The Wild Coyote has also benefited from a 25% drop in the cost of their liability insurance.
