Title: New Security Checks Headed For Bars

VANCOUVER -- Get kicked out of one bar, just go to another one right? Wrong!
A group of bars and clubs in Vancouver will soon be installing a high-tech identification system that will pin-point trouble makers before they get started.
You'll be asked for identification at the door, which will be swiped through a scanner, and your picture will be taken. Your name and age will pop up on a computer screen, along with any information about whether you've caused trouble at any bar on the network. John Teti with Barwatch says the nightclub owner will know who's inside at all times. He says it would have been a great tool following the Loft Six shooting. But, some people feel the system goes too far and infringes on their privacy rights. Thirty-five nightclubs will be hooked up to the system, which should be up and running within six months.
