The only information the EnterSafe system presents to staff is the individual’s name and their ID’s expiry date. Staff and management can never see or access any other personal data.
The system does also collect the date of birth and the driver’s license number, but those can only ever be revealed to law enforcement agencies, on presentation of a valid warrant. This information is only made available in a Data Extraction Report that is produced and provided by TreoScope—not through our clients. In addition, all access to this information is tracked and can be audited at any point.
No identifiable portion of an address is extracted from an ID, and the user interface offers no ability for an establishment to print, copy, or email the information. An individual gives more private information when using a credit card or cheque then TreoScope’s systems extract from their identification!
TreoScope Technologies, Inc. has no access to a person’s driving record, medical history, or criminal records. Our systems can access only information visually contained on the license, and of that, only necessary information for the maintenance of a safe environment is extracted.
It is essential that an establishment be able to identify a patron in the system, so TreoScope EnterSafe pairs a live photo with the information extracted from the identification. It is important to have a live photo as many embedded identification photos are worn and out-of-date and are little help in identifying a patron. Also, a patron's clothing is an important visual indicator for security staff who see many faces on even an average night.
No. The software can only extract information that is already visible on the identification. And, of that information, TreoScope EnterSafe only extracts the information that is absolutely necessary for security purposes.
TreoScope EnterSafe will only recognize government issued IDs, such as a driver license, or state/provincial ID card. It currently supports all such encoded cards issued in North America.
No. TreoScope EnterSafe doesn't extract any identifiable portion of a mailing address from the identification, and email addresses are not encoded on government ID. Under most privacy acts, businesses must gain opt-in consent from patrons before collecting and utilizing mail or email information. TreoScope EnterSafe is not designed to handle either marketing outlet.
No. TreoScope EnterSafe is only a tool to be used in addition to normal security procedures. It is important for security to verify the authenticity of the identification's security features, as well as ensure that the user of the ID matches the photo embedded in it.
No. In fact, if TreoScope EnterSafe is used properly, it should speed up the time it takes to move through a line-up! The system takes less than half a second to run its queries on an identification and search the database for an account. To ensure the process is a quick one, establishments are urged to make sure that their patron's have their identification out and ready to be swiped before they reach the front of the line.
In addition to calculating a patron's age, TreoScope EnterSafe verifies the expiry date and authenticity of the identification. Should any piece of identification be used more then once in a single night, a multiple-use notification will alert the client’s security personnel.
TreoScope EnterSafe only verifies that an identification is authentic in its encoding and that the age and expiry date are valid. Should a person gain entrance through fraudulent means, the software will have logged their live photo with the information they provided to gain entrance. The client can then provide evidence of due-diligence and the individual can be held accountable.
Establishments can see how many recent and total visits a patron has made to their establishment, and any internal or external reports that are attached to the patrons account. Establishments also have access to the patron's internal statuses and most recent photos.
Yes. TreoScope EnterSafe offers clients the ability to add internal notes to a patron's account. This information is only available to that particular owner and cannot be accessed outside of the system.
Establishments are urged to listen to a patron's concerns on a case-by-case basis and offer an alternative way for the patron to enter, if they feel the explanation is satisfactory.
The TreoScope EnterSafe software is housed in a locked down station, which allows the operator access only to the user interface. Only authorized individuals can access the administrative functions, and patron accounts in the user interface. All access is tracked and recorded under the identified users account.
Beyond those access privileges, all information is protected by sophisticated encryption methods and cannot be reproduced or accessed outside of the permissions granted by TreoScope Technologies, Inc. Should an establishment wish to print or save information outside of our user interface, a formal request must be sent and logged by TreoScope Technologies, Inc.
Yes. TreoScope EnterSafe includes connectivity between multiple locations. This will allow an owner to share internal statuses and other internal information among the establishments he or she owns.
Establishments can broadcast Community Alerts on patrons for everything from failure to pay and drink-tampering, to verbal threats, abuse, and involvement in a fight. Though there are few constraints on the subjects of reports that may be broadcast, it is important to note that TreoScope EnterSafe establishments are liable to ensure all information is reliable and accurate. All Alerts are logged with the author’s name and the establishment for which they work.
TreoScope urges all clients to make informed decisions on a case-by-case basis. TreoScope EnterSafe Community Alerts offer no course of action, and are intended only to inform establishments’ security personnel.
There is no limit on the number of TreoScope EnterSafe Community Alerts that a patron's account may have. Patrons who have an extensive number of Community Alerts detailing violent or dangerous behavior, may be inferred to be demonstrating a pattern of inappropriate behaviour. Security personnel will then be able to act accordingly, monitoring that individual’s patronage at their establishment(s).
Community Alerts stay visible on the system for as little as one week, up to as much as one year, depending on the severity of the incident it describes.
Establishments can only view or search Community Alerts of patrons who have actually come to their premises. There is no ability for an establishment to view alerts on indiviuals who have not patroned their establishment.
Alerts are only viewable or searchable for the length of time assigned by the severity of the incident it describes.
Only authorized owners and managers may use the TreoScope EnterSafe Community Alert feature. Access to the feature is password and account restricted and any Alerts that are broadcast will contain the author and establishment names.

TreoScope EnterSafe clients are confident that their information is safely and securely backed-up. Should an incident occur that causes a hardware failure, the operator need only call TreoScope Technologies to request replacement equipment. And TreoScope will restore the database. (Note that backup services are an option not included in the base system fees.)
